A storey-and-a-half log house. Sill beam structurally compromised due to rot.

A storey-and-a-half log house was stripped of plaster, lathe, partitioning and the extant floor.
Removal of an existing partition on the first floor and the injudicious removal of floor joist material to run services had caused the floor joists to sag. Steel plates were bolted to either side of three joists to stabilise them. The floor was then levelled with tapered shims.
New level floor has been installed and the replacement studding is complete. An additional built-up-beam adds rigidity to the floor.
Interior chinking was re-done.
Finished: A new level floor, walls re-studded and insulated, pine with a custom-milled inter-lock bevel edge used as the interior wall fabric. All electrical up-graded back to the panel with rodent-proof armoured cable. The built-up beam was installed to stiffen the floor.
